Carol Goldsmith, The Discovery Coach™, is a full-time coach, author, speaker, workshop leader, and certified trainer in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). Her life mission is to help people discover and use their personal power to consistently, authentically be their best.

Carol’s coaching philosophy holds that all individuals are unique, creative, and resourceful beings who — at some level — already possess the answers they seek. Her job is to help clients access their inner wisdom through focused conversations, powerful questions, reflective listening, and discovery exercises that deepen the learning and forward their desired course of action.

After receiving her coach training from CTI (the Coaches Training Institute), Carol earned her NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer certifications from the Midlantic Training Institute for NLP, and her practitioner certification in Ericksonian Hypnosis from the American Hypnosis Training Academy. She is a graduate of Anthony Robbins’ Mastery University, an intensive, year-long personal development program where she first learned the power of NLP to help people make rapid, lasting change.

She now mentors and trains coaches in using various transformational models and tools that help people discover how to be their best.

An active member of the ICF (International Coach Federation), Carol also serves on the Advisory Board of the Washington, D.C. metro chapter of coachville. She is a founding member of the Integrative Coaching Alliance and of the BodyMindSpirit Alliance, a special-interest community hosted on the CTI web site, that explores the integration of coaching with various healing modalities.

Carol's popular weekly ezine of life lessons (called carols), was publshed in October 2003 as The book of carols: Songs of discovery on the path to enlightenment. She is now developing a series of personal development books under the title, Discovering How: The Art & Science of Being Your Best.

Prior to joining the coaching profession, Carol held senior-level positions in publishing, marketing, sales, PR, direct response television, and association work, with a focus on the Asian travel & hospitality industry. She has visited 30 countries and appeared extensively on radio, television, and in print across North America and China. Click here to see Carol's resume.
